THE VENUE

Glebe House offers an idyllic setting with 5 acres of beautiful countryside including stunning formal gardens as well as alluring secluded areas. Surrounded by the magnificent rolling hills of the Devon Countryside.

Glebe House is run as a family run business, which means they can tailor their venue to suit the atmosphere and feel that you are looking for. They enjoy getting to know you as a couple and helping make dreams become reality in an unobtrusive manner. From the moment of booking, they’ll be on hand to guide you through your wedding journey. From recommending suppliers for catering or entertainment from their trusted providers list, to helping you set up on the day, the family-run team are happy when you’re happy.

Begin your day by exchanging vows in a civil ceremony, against the backdrop of Glebe House’s Grade II listed Rectory. From there, the choice between a formal marquee or a rustic outdoor reception is yours to make. Both options allow for up to 200 guests, but offer completely difference experiences for you as a couple.

Traditional Wedding options: Whether you are looking for a four couse sit down breakfast, a buffet or any other option, their recommended suppliers will help you decide the best size marquee for your day. You then have the fun and creative part, desigining and personalising your marquee, there are plenty of different table decorations, lanterns, flowers, bunting and other ornaments that can be used to transform this luxury marquee into your dream setting.

Rustic / Festival options: If you are looking for something a little different to the traditional formal wedding then Glebe is also the place for you. Whether you are looking for a more relaxed and casual style wedding, or if you are thinking of something out of this world, the team at Glebe will be more than happy to help make your dreams a reality. Couples have the options to bring in all sorts of suppliers to make their day unique, from street food or hog roast suppliers, to bouncy castles, or crazy golf. The rustic option also includes use of two smaller marquees perfect for a bar and band/dj as well as plenty of tables and chairs and lighting for everyone.

Which ever option you choose, you’ll have the exclusive use of the six-acre estate all to yourself. All the self-catering cottages are booked for your wedding party, meaning 36 of your closest friends and family can enjoy the full Glebe House experience with you, in their luxury self catering cottages. For the rest, camping and overnight parking is offered free of charge on site.
